A volunteering project that started on December 2021 (link) which has as it main focus the rehabilitation of burned and deforested areas in Albania. Volunteers from all round Albania are joining this cause which admittedly is one of the most important causes in today’s era. Although the time frame for planting trees is very limited each year, the group has done a very impressive work to date. More than 1300 trees have been planted until January 2023 with many more activities on the way.

The main focus of this group is the National Park of Dajt, in Tirana, which has suffered a great deal of deforestation and illegal activities. About 1200 trees are planned to be planted in this area until the spring of 2023. A small number but nonetheless a significant one for nature. On January 29, more than 100 volunteers gathered with a common goal: to plant 1000 trees.

Volunteers from more than 4 organizations and informal groups were present, making this one of the largest tree planting events in the area. Planting trees helps to reduce soil erosion, improve air quality, and create a habitat for wildlife. This was a powerful reminder of how small actions can make a big difference when it comes to protecting our environment.
