The Covid-19 pandemic brought to humanity the needs to find ways in order to incorporate technology to everyday life. This was a challenge that had to be met in an efficient and effective manner, which required an understanding of how to integrate technology in daily life. The Covid-19 outbreak has brought this challenge to a whole new level of complexity. Technology is a key element in everyday activities and it is imperative for society to have access to technology.
In this context, it becomes essential to develop a new set of tools that allow people to interact with the technology, to use it in their daily activities and why not, to visit museums from the comfort of their homes. The main aspect of this project was bringing the museums to life via a mobile application. The museum of history and the Ethnographic museum in Krujë, Albania, have many objects in their possession. The challenge here was to incorporate all that data -photos & description texts- into one app.
With the help of museum’s director Mr. Mehdi Hafizi (arguably one of the greatest cicerones in Albania) and Mr. Klodian Loka, we were able to bring this application to life. For this project a short video was made which demonstrates in a quick overview what the app has to offer and also some sightseeing from the Kruja.
