More info about the project

For three days I followed scientists and students deep into Shebenik National Park, Albania, as they monitored and studied the park’s wildlife. The focus was on small mammals — mice, shrews, bats — but along the way the teams also looked at reptiles and even tracked signs of big mammals like the Brown Bear. I filmed them exploring caves and abandoned buildings where we found a colony of about 70 bats, setting traps to study tiny rodents, and checking mist nets to record new bat species. Camera traps hidden in the mountains added another layer, capturing the secret movements of bears that roam this wild landscape. This video is my perspective behind the lens — documenting the process of science in action and the hidden world of animals most of us never notice.
