One of the longest-running and most rewarding projects I have undertaken, this initiative was funded by the European Union through the Regional Cooperation Council and implemented by the SIG Foundation. The project encompassed a wide range of features and a demanding set of tasks, all of which required sustained commitment, coordination, and technical execution over an extended period.

I had the privilege of collaborating closely with one of the most dedicated and tireless professionals I have encountered, Mr. Ardian Koci, Director of Divjakë–Karavasta National Park. Together with his team, his professionalism, openness, and constant support made the project’s inherent challenges not only manageable but genuinely engaging, allowing its many components to be completed with clarity and efficiency.

At the core of the project was the development of a mobile application designed to present the park’s history, biodiversity, accommodations, points of interest, and other essential information to visitors in an accessible and engaging format. One of the most technically demanding elements was the creation of a comprehensive virtual tour, consisting of more than 600 360-degree photographs. These were carefully captured, stitched, edited, interconnected, and ultimately published on Google Street View, offering an immersive digital exploration of the park.

Below, you can explore a selection of photographs produced for the project, access the virtual tour on Google Street View, and view the project’s official video on YouTube.
